A Depress doctor wishes to change his past if he can, comes across a mean of time travel. As the few beginning journey's he tries to absorb everything that everything was reality, but when he understands the changes which he can do in his past to make his present life better he realizes that by doing so he will end up losing the only thing he loved in his present life. The story revolves around his multiple time travel journeys in the past to change it, causes a change in his present life and the people who are close to him. At the end he figures out a solution which will change his past without losing the only person he loved in his present life. Few things which i liked were , the old aged doctor meeting his young self and means of communicating from past to present. On the whole the movie is interesting but the mean used for the time travel is ridiculous. The idea of changing the past in such a way without affecting the present completely is quite awesome.

This is one of the best emotional time travel stories I have seen till date. Very logical with no loose ends and extremely heart touching. Every aspect of story has been dealt delicately and reasonably. Seriously Koreans have mastered the art of making sci fi time travel movies. Hv become a huge fan of Korean movies.

Wish I could time travel too, to the past, correct all the mistakes I made. This is the premise of this movie. A doctor with months to live thinks of the past, where he didn't pay more attention to his gf then and she died in an accident. He given a chance to go to the past, which he did, met with his younger self and convinced the younger himself to change matter thus allowing his gf to live. the rest you'll have to check it out yourself. A nice poignant love story. What if? the sad question we ask ourselves in our old age. I would love to be able to do that. Go back to the past but with our greater experience and wisdom, how much more we can achieve. A good movie to watch, take it at face value. And don't be too skeptical, like how come the older self is SHORTER than the younger self who is towering over him. Did he get shorter and shorter when he got older and older. LOL.

"Will You Be There?" is an adaptation of Guillaume Musso's 2006 bestselling novel with the same title. South Korean cinema adds one more feather in its cap by adapting such a fantastic novel and Hong Ji-young did true justice to it. A surgeon (Kim Yun-Seok) helps an old man by operating on his granddaughter during a flood in Cambodia. The old man asks what is your last wish and surgeon says "my only wish is to see my girlfriend" but she died in an accident 30 years ago. The old man gives him 10 pills which allow him to travel in time to the past. The narration is immaculate and the idea of time travel is utilized magnificently, going back in past and meeting yourself is portrayed with great ingenuity, a dash of humor & melodrama. South Korean movies are known for this peculiarity. The characters are developed seamlessly; human emotions are captured well. It also draws the protagonist's conflict with relationships and who to choose, the sacrifices are irreversible. Attention to the details is commendable here as we see the height, smoking style, hairstyle and body language of the protagonist is similar. The cinematography is spectacular and editing makes the movie crisp as the transition of scenes from 1985 to 2015 happens flawlessly. A must watch film.7.5/10

The movie started off good and I was hoping some mind twisting time travel and beautiful love story. But it was a big disappointment. The love story was weak and time travel was full of plot holes. The main character could have saved his love interest, still be friends with his best friend and still have had his daughter. This was my first korean movie disappointment.

This is a fantastic movie. As with most good time travel movies, you have to think outside the box. Most others you also have to ignore the loopholes, but not in this one. The ending had tears rolling down my cheek, then a few minutes later, tears again. This movie actually had multiple sad and happy endings, until the final, which is, well, you just have to watch it. The acting is great, the characters are great, and some comedy relief from his best friend. I promise you it is worth every minute of your time...
